Catherine S. Todd, M.D., MPH recently received a Clinical Scientist Development
Award (CSDA) from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation entitled "Integration of Needle
Exchange & VCT in Kabul, Afghanistan". [ Dr. Todd is currently living in
Kabul, where she and her colleagues have completed a seroprevalence and
behavioral assessment among injection drug users with results presented at
the 16th International AIDS Conference in Toronto. The CSDA project aims
to assess efficacy and increase awareness of harm reduction programs both
among drug users and the community.
