Dr. Samantha Hurst is a Medical Anthropologist in the UCSD Division
of Community Pediatrics. Her research interests involve the effects
of substance abuse, interpersonal violence, and historical trauma
in American Indians communities - with particular emphasis on the
intergenerational and contemporary consequences of these issues regarding
family and community healing.
